Computer Systems
Integrator —the
one-stop for everything computer
Business Review – A supplement to the Journal Register June 1998
Located
in the basement of 1438 Main Street, many may not have noticed C
–Computer Systems Integrator (CCSI). CCSI has been quietly serving Palmer and the surrounding
area’s computer needs for five years. Their knowledgeable computer
experts are friendlier and willing to help even most novice computer
user.
CCSI recently expanded their offerings
to Internet access. “Adding Internet access to our services makes us
the one stop for everything to do with computers” said Jitu Changela,
President of CCSI. “Together our expert personnel can handle everything
from computer sales and repair to Internet access, and software
development,” he continued.
As mentioned, CCSI recently started
providing Internet services. Their Internet expert has years of
experience with website design, web based programming, and Windows NT
systems. Jitu explained to me, “When we decided to become Internet
providers, we searched for an expert in the field ... Someone who not
only had experience with the vast array of Internet technology
available, but who could apply that experience in new and unique ways
to help our customers.”
Businesses in the greater Palmer area
can take advantage of CCSI’s Internet connection and expertise as
well. CCSI offers service contracts to small and large businesses alike.
The advantage of a service contract is two-fold. Businesses can rely on
the expertise of CCSI’s computer professionals, as they had a
dedicated in-house support staff. Also, the service contracts are very
inexpensive when compared to the cost of a dedicated in-house support
staff. A very large savings to businesses, no matter what their size.
Larger companies can call on CCSI to
set up Virtual Private Networks (VPN’s). Virtual Private Networks
save larger companies the expense of having a dedicated network
connection to the corporate headquarters. With VPN there is no
difference to the end user, but the cost savings over a dedicated line
can be tremendous. Additionally, the design of a VPN and use of the
Internet makes it much more reliable than a dedicated line directly to
the corporate office.
CCSI continues to grow to meet the
needs of their customers, and plans to move to a larger location,
which can facilitate that growth. Soon CCSI will call 1501 North Main
Street it’s new home. When asked if the move would disrupt any of
the services CCSI currently offers, Jitu responded, “No. The move
should not have any detrimental effect on the service we provide our
customers. We will prepare our new location slowly over the next few
weeks and move our office equipment over first. Our Internet servers
will be the last items moved, and done during hours when no one is
online. We are working closely with our provider (UUNET) and the phone
company to make sure everything goes smoothly. Most customers probably
won’t even know we’ve moved.”
If you have any computer questions
please call CCSI at (413) 284-1720. They will be more than happy
to help.
